Frank Morris and brothers John and Clarence Anglin used homemade tools to dig through the walls of their cells and escape through a ventilation shaft.

The men made it to the water's edge and used a makeshift raft made from raincoats to try and reach the mainland.

The escape was discovered the next morning, and an extensive search was conducted, but the men were never found.

Some speculate that the men drowned or were eaten by sharks, while others believe they successfully escaped and started new lives elsewhere.

The escape remains a mystery to this day, and it is still unclear what truly happened to Morris and the Anglin brothers.
