Homemade Recipes to Keep Your Home Bug-Free

Ant Repellent: Mix equal parts vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Spray along ant trails and entry points to deter them.

Cockroach Killer: Create a mixture of equal parts baking soda and sugar. Sprinkle it in areas where cockroaches are present. The sugar attracts them, while the baking soda acts as a natural insecticide.

Fruit Fly Trap: Place a small amount of apple cider vinegar in a jar or bowl and cover it tightly with plastic wrap. Poke small holes in the wrap. Fruit flies will be attracted to the vinegar and get trapped.

Mosquito Repellent: Combine equal parts water and witch hazel in a spray bottle. Add a few drops of essential oils like citronella, lavender, or eucalyptus. Shake well and spray it on exposed skin to repel mosquitoes.

Spider Repellent: Mix a few drops of peppermint essential oil with water in a spray bottle. Spray the solution around windows, doors, and other areas where spiders may enter.

Fly Paper: Cut strips of brown paper and coat them with a sticky mixture of sugar, honey, and water. Hang them in areas where flies are a problem.

Moth Repellent: Place dried lavender, cedar chips, or cinnamon sticks in drawers, closets, or areas where moths are likely to be present.

Silverfish Trap: Roll up a newspaper and secure it with a rubber band. Place it in areas where silverfish are seen. They will crawl into the newspaper, and you can dispose of it later.

Bed Bug Spray: Mix water, rubbing alcohol, and peppermint oil in a spray bottle. Spray it on infested areas to repel and kill bed bugs.

Roach Repellent Sachets: Fill small fabric sachets with dried bay leaves, catnip, or cucumber peels. Place them in cabinets or areas prone to roach activity.
